The Magnet = Day Labor Center

It is now clear that our elected representatives will not produce an Immigration Bill this session.

The highest priority of Congress is to get themselves re-elected.
Harry Reid continues the political posturing by focusing on a
"No Confidence" vote for Donald Rumsfeld & lengthy comments about an ABC television series.

Meanwhile, my neighborhood is

BURNING DOWN SLOWLY

piece by piece.
I live in 'the Square', which was shown in the December 5th, 2005
issue of Time magazine ("Stalking the Day Laborers" page 36).

It is up to me to reverse the effects of immigration on my home,
my neighborhood, my State, and my Country.
Our City paid for and set up the Day Labor Center to get workers
out of the Home Depot Parking Lot and off of the streets.
Yet this government-sponsored Center has become a magnet for
workers, and now we have a tenfold increase in the number of
immigrants hanging around ALL of my local businesses.

Maybe this seems a bit too ambitious,
but if I don't do it, who will?

I shall start by documenting the recent history and changes
in my area.  Then I will assemble a team of concerned citizens
(who share my strong values regarding Individual Property Rights)
and fight to purchase the land that is leased to the Day Labor Center.  Lastly, I'd like to develop this two acre parcel and
work to assimilate these underground workers into the fabric
of our Great Nation - just as my Great Grandparents did.

This moment is a wonderful opportunity to honor my fellow countrymen who died five years ago today.
I will DREAM BIG and TAKE ACTION!
For that is what Americans do.
The American Spirit drives me to share my enthusiasm
and I trust that this battle will not be fought by me alone...
